I’ve started scouring charity shops for mirrors. It was actually a lot harder to find them than I thought (mirrors not charity shops). They were either the wrong shape - too small or circular - or they just plain didn’t have any in stock. I did manage to get a few though. Midnight Mile - Timber! Timber! →

I got a phone call about a week before the shoot asking how quickly I could make a scarecrow. Turns out it took me two days to figure out how to do it with the materials we’d bought. Also, as I was burning paper to age it, my neighbour leaned over the gate and said “Are you scaring my cat?” “No,” I said “I’m just burning some paper.” Weird moment.
